The Tribe Incursion Mission is a special mission based on historical fiction from the BattleTech Universe: The Minnesota Tribe (331st) attack on the Kurita-held planet of Richmond.
The Minnesota Tribe made one last attack against the Kurita-inhabited world of Richmond. Though it was inconceivable that the tribe could have known about the large prison and slave camps on the planet, their 'Mechs went straight for them. After easily overpowering the guards, they were soon freeing the many thousands of prisoners. Several Dropships then landed in the midst of the prison complexes to load up and transport the freed prisoner's off world before the Kurita 'Mechs could arrive on the scene. Though no one realized it for quite awhile, the liberation of the prisoners and "Unproductive" on Richmond was the last time the Minnesota Tribe was seen in the Inner Sphere.
This objective based mission includes the Minnesota Tribe's dropship landing zone (Y), Kurita prisoner camp (B), and Kurita garrison base (R). Objectives (including dropships which are destroy-able) have automated defenses.
Players have the choice to be the Minnesota Tribe attackers (Team Yellow) or Kurita defenders (Teams Red and/or Blue - see above).
This scenario can be played with Humans against AI Bots (level 9 only).
Bonus objectives for each team.
If the bonus objective is achieved, that team will receive a score bonus.
For Team Attrition this will be worth 5000 pts. For Team Destruction this will be worth 10 kills.
Bonus objectives will be extremely difficult to achieve especially with team defenders. Again, these are bonuses to the basic team game-type and do not constitute a win/lose condition.
Blue Team (Kurita Prison Camp):
The bonus objective for this team is to defend the prison camp, and attempt to destroy the 331st Dropships and Command Lance at Yellow Team's drop zone.
Red Team (Kurita Garrison):
The bonus objective for this team is to defend the base and attempt to destroy the 331st Dropships and Command Lance at Yellow Team's drop zone.
Yellow Team (331st Unit) (Use Badge #17 on Console):
Two bonus objectives.
A. Release all the prisoners from the Blue Team Prison (destroy all the prison barracks buildings)
B. Destroy the Red Team Kurita Garrison (destroy the dropship, HQ, Mech repair building, and Mech Bays.)
Team Attrition, Advanced Mission Type. (3 teams maximum)
Pilots select their own 'Mechs.
AI Bots set to Level 9 can be added in this mission - as cooperative or combatants - complimenting the selections of the human pilots.
