Challenger must challenge the Pilot directly above them on the ladder in attendance. If the challenger’s name is not on the ladder, selection starts from the bottom of the list.
Challenger chooses 'Mech Class (Light, Medium, Heavy, Assault).
Defender chooses 'Mech Chassis in the selected class.
Both players will be in the same 'Mech.
Variant Mechs are allowed if both Duelists are MechCorps Level 2 members.
If one of the Duelists is Level 1, only Stock Mechs are allowed for both Duelists.
If Challenger wins, Challenger moves to the rung above the Defender on the ladder.
If Challenger loses, Challenger loses one rung, Defender does not move.
In the event of a double kill or no kills, both the Challenger and the Defender lose 1 rung.
Maximum 4 drops (losses) per day (2 Challenges, 2 Defends) per pilot.
No rematches on the same day.
If a pilot is not present at Regulars’ Night for 4 straight weeks, the pilot will incur a 4 rung penalty. The pilot will then lose one rung per week not present at Regulars’ Night. Descent is halted when attendance resumes. (Exception: Pilots who are a part of a Mobile Armor Division event will not have that week counted against them)
