Winter is Coming to Space City Con. Celebrity Showdown to benefit charity.

Science fiction fans will have a chance to start off 2014 right at Space City Con's first ever winter event! On January 3rd-5th, the Moody Gardens Hotel, Spa, & Convention Center will be host to Space City Con, which will be held on Galveston Island for the first time. The convention will be welcoming stars from the hit HBO series A Game of Thrones, Star Trek, Star Wars, Babylon 5, Battlestar Galactica and much more! MechCorps will be bringing in the new year at Space City Con with it's own fireworks and looking to introduce the thrill of giant robot combat to new pilots! Don't miss the Celebrity Showdown in the MechCorps Pods at 11pm on Saturday where Con Celebrities and VIPs will battle against each other to benefit the Convention Charity "Impact a Hero". Come cheer for your favorite celebrity and bid money to buy them bigger guns, larger robots and other bonuses to help them prevail on the battlefield. All bids will go to the con charity.

The thrill of piloting a 75-ton engine of destruction will be available all weekend via MechCorps' Tesla II Battletech Pods. Pilots will be able to prove their worth on the battlefield from the cockpit of their own giant robotic warrior!
