Mechacon celebrates the 20th year of the Power Rangers while MechCorps brings the giant robots and smack talk.

NEW ORLEANS - Stormtroopers and super heroes will be heading to the Big Easy for Mechacon's ninth's consecutive year. The beautiful Hilton New Orleans Riverside Hotel is playing host to this gathering of icons from animation, science fiction and comic books. Mechacon is proud to be celebrating the 20th anniversary of Power Rangers with six of the celebrities of the series, including Steve Cardenas, David Yost, Walter Jones, Karan Ashley, Johnny Yong Bosch, Paul Schrier and Jason Narvy! The Power Rangers series is well known for its colossal robot battles and MechCorps will be on hand to give attendees the thrill of piloting their own giant robot in combat! Battletech is a game of futuristic robotic combat where each player will pilot thier own 75-ton walking tank to fight it out for supremacy, victory and, of course, bragging rights! The Virtual World Tesla II Battletech Cockpit Simulator Pods will be available 24 hours per day for the entire weekend of Mechacon and the highly experienced veterans of MechCorps will be on hand to provide training to help you be the best pilot possible. Battlemech combat is an experience unlike any other and with a massive choice of mechs, maps and game types, MechCorps will always have something new for Mechacon attendees to enjoy! New to Mechacon this year, MechCorps will offer the chance for pilots to improve their racing skills as well! MechCorps is pleased to announce "Midnight Boost" which will have pilots, who brave the late nights of the convention floor, going for the checkered flag with games of Red Planet. Red Planet is a game that has players taking control of highly modified, mining hovercraft at a futuristic mining colony on Mars. The race course is full of twists and turns that players must navigate to win enough points to secure victory. Only the best pilots will be able to handle the rush of this high tech death race!
