GALVESTON ISLAND, TEXAS - Galveston Island is about to get a lot more exciting! On October 25-27, 2013, the Tenth Annual Oni-Con Anime Convention will be held at the Galveston Island Convention Center! The convention center's breath taking views of Galveston Bay will provide the perfect backdrop for all of the costumed attendees and guests who will be coming to the island. Oni-Con's guest list features great deal of talent from the anime industry, but the most anticipated guest will be legendary video game composer; Nobuo Uematsu! Uematsu is well known for his combat themes in the Final Fantasy game series however, MechCorps will be on hand to showcase all kinds of mechanized mayhem to accompany Mr. Uematsu's fantastic melodies!
MechCorps Entertainment will, once again, be granting attendees unique chance to experience a thrill of combat like no other! Six battlepods will be available for aspiring mechjocks to test their piloting prowess against live opponents. Battlemech combat is fast and furious but, all it takes is a short training session and attendees will be in command of their very own 3-story tall, 75-ton, walking tank! Challenge your friends in multiple game types including Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, Capture the Flag, and more to prove that you alone will reign supreme in the futuristic world of Battletech!
