MechCorps has received orders to mobilize and return to MechaCon V in Lafayette, Louisiana!

We also have clearance to bring EVEN MORE PODS than last year. That's right, get ready for larger teams, more carnage, MULTI-teams, more destructlon, more challenges and MORE MAYHEM than last year!

Meet other pilots, meet famous people, unleash your road rage on them.

and this year we have been given clearance to conduct a BattleTech Gunslinger competition!

Are you the best 'Mech Pilot in this galaxy? PROVE IT!

Respond to this thread or contact us if you have any questions.

BattleTech Cockpit Simulator Pods Return to MechaCon to Find Louisiana's Best Pilots.

For Immediate Release

MechCorps' Mobile Armor Division will be stationed in the Hilton Lafayette in Lafayette, Louisiana during MechaCon V on July 24th-26th, 2009

In celebration of 25 years of BattleTech, 20th year of BattleTech VR, the upcoming 20th anniversary of Robotech, and the recent announcement of the impending reboot of the MechWarrior franchise from Smith and Tinker, MechCorps Entertainment, LLC is being redeployed to MechaCon with their world-renowned and critically acclaimed, Virtual World Tesla II BattleTech: Firestorm Cockpit Simulator Pods.

The Mission: Recruit, Train and Establish the Mecha Sheriff and Deputy for the great state of Louisiana.

In MechCorps' first deployment to MechaCon IV in 2008, hundreds of raw recruits were introduced to the exhilaration of piloting a 70-ton, 3-story tall robot armed to the teeth with lasers, missiles, cannons and all manner of weaponry to take on all foes... including friends. The Tesla II cockpits, featuring the BattleTech: Firestorm software, are fully enclosed military style simulators that feature 7 screens, over 90 control systems, and a 12 speaker surround sound system. When seated in the cockpit or 'pod', the player pilots their own walking tank known as a BattleMech onto the virtual landscape to compete for battlefield superiority with those seated in surrounding cockpits.

During MechaCon V, new pilots will be inducted, old pilots will be brought up to speed to prepare for the Main Event on Saturday, July 25th. The MechaCon V Gunslinger will be a double-elemination dueling event where pilots will battle each other for prizes and the honor of being promoted to Mecha Sheriff and Deputy of the region. Visit www.MechCorps.com/MechaCon for details.

MechCorps Entertainment, LLC is the largest independent operator of Virtual World Entertainment's Tesla II BattleTech: Firestorm Cockpit Simulator Pods with it's main base of operation in Houston, Texas. MechCorps' Mobile Armor Division is the touring branch of MechCorps traveling to various conventions and other remote deployments across the United States. MechCorps Entertainment, LLC is a privately held company. Visit www.MechCorps.com for more information.

Headquartered in Kalamazoo, Virtual World Entertainment is a leading supplier of high-end, centerpiece attractions to the location-based entertainment industry. Virtual World has produced and distributed cockpits since 1989. Virtual World Entertainment, LLC is a privately held company. Visit today at www.virtualworld.com.

While I would love to say yes. I must admit that at Mechacon I will have other commitments. Do you have a time on when the tournament will be held?

Oh, you'll get it Wink

Maybe then I'll be forced to at least upgrade to a Heavy Mech! Haha

For those wondering, Sylum Challenged me to a Vet Challenge.

He Chose a Mauler
I Chose a ShadowCat

It was close, with 3 deaths a piece, but in the end, I won by 200 points.

Good match though!
